Marketplacer has been awarded Best 360-Degree [commerce] Solution and VIP Challenge Award at Retail Global’s Vendors in Partnership (VIP) awards.
Hosted on the Gold Coast, Sunday 28th March, the awards seek to fill a crucial role in the retail landscape, recognising the important roles that retail solutions partners play in driving retail success through innovation, empathy and excellence.
In the Best 360-Degree Solution category, Marketplacer was commended for supporting retail vendors through the trials of 2020. A standout was Marketplacer’s collaboration and innovation with hospitality entrepreneur, Shane Delia, co-creating his vision of Providoor. A premium takeaway dining experience launched in June 2020, Providoor created an urgent marketplace solution for the hospitality industry amidst COVID-19 lockdowns, resulting in a forecasted $100M business in just 5 months, which is still seeing restaurants taking on hundreds more covers per week than possible pre-pandemic.
The Providoor collaboration was further recognised by judges in The VIP Challenge Award. Also praised in this category was Marketplacer’s role in building Australia’s first impact-driven online marketplace for women-run businesses with Global Sisters, as well as unifying a network of franchise beverage businesses under the banner of the Shop My Local marketplace, ensuring local bottle shops supply product to online shoppers in their area.
Marketplacer Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Jason Wyatt, said he was honoured to count these awards amongst the company’s milestones.
“Our business was founded on so much more than just our expert technology. It’s always been about how we can support our clients to grow on, both simply and endlessly. This recognition from those who voted and the panel at Retail Global is huge for us - it highlights our ability to effectively partner with our clients to enable them to grow, and this is how we continue to measure our own success at Marketplacer.”
Marketplacer took top spot ahead of other shortlisted vendors including Alley, seek, GS1 Australia, neto, TruRating, Big Commerce and Worldpay.
Marketplacer is used in both B2C and B2B environments and has helped over 90 enterprises build and deploy their own successful marketplace strategies, connecting over 20,000 businesses worldwide.
